Discover 83 acres of tropical beauty this National Public Gardens Day at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. Fairchild is home to world-renowned plant collections featuring palms, cycads, orchids, tropical fruit trees, and more. On Friday, May 8 from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., the Garden is offering reduced admission of $20 for adults, $13 for seniors 65 and up, and $7 for children 6-17. Special membership rates will also be available.
Visitors can relax next to waterfalls in the Rainforest, walk beside the swaying palms in the Palmetum, watch hundreds of exotic butterflies flutter through the Wings of the Tropics exhibit, and much more. The Dale Chihuly glass art exhibition is on view until May 31.
Free, narrated tram tours are offered every half hour beginning at 10:00 a.m. and give an excellent overview of the Garden’s history, mission, and exhibits.
Food is available at the Glasshouse Café overlooking the butterfly conservatory as well as the Lakeside Café with sweeping views of Pandanus Lake.
